ANA LUNA PEARL HARBORS REPUBLICANS AND MAGA

YOU CAN'T SPELL TRAITOR WITHOUT THE "T"
YOU CAN'T SPELL TRAITOR WITHOUT THE "T"

Let’s talk about what just went down on April 1st—no, this wasn’t an April Fools’ joke, folks. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, once a solid MAGA warrior, went head-to-head with Republican House leadership and walked out of the Freedom Caucus. That’s right—one of the loudest America First voices just walked off the field, and we need to ask: why now?

Because make no mistake—this was a bad move. Bad timing. Bad optics. And it plays straight into the hands of the Left.

Americans are done with inflation, fraud, corruption and woke nonsense. This is the time for the Republican Party to be united, disciplined, and laser-focused on backing President Trump and retaking our country.

But what does Luna do?

She picks now to blow up over proxy voting for new parents—a nice idea, sure—but this is the hill to die on?

Let me be clear: this isn't about mothers. This is about movement discipline. This is about timing. Proxy voting is the same tool Pelosi abused to ram through trillions in spending without accountability. And Luna’s move—siding with Democrats and moderates—gave them exactly the chaos they wanted. Twelve Republicans broke ranks. Speaker Johnson took a hit. And the Freedom Caucus—the MAGA stronghold in Congress—lost one of its most media-savvy fighters.

And for what? A personal feud? A symbolic gesture?

This isn’t how Trump plays the game. President Trump fights smart. He builds coalitions, he leads. He doesn't throw a tantrum and walk out when things get tough—he doubles down.

Luna says mutual respect was shattered. You know what’s really shattered? Republican unity. MAGA momentum. That’s what gets hurt when we take internal beefs public and give CNN a headline.

So here’s the bottom line: If you’re going to wear the America First badge, you’d better be ready to stay in the trenches when it matters most. Because right now, the stakes are too high, and the country can’t afford distraction.

It definitely was no last minute thing and surely it was handled with a great dal of secrecy between Luna, the dissident Republicans and the Democratic thought leaders. I would say this based on evidentiary facts:

Representative Anna Paulina Luna's successful coalition-building to advance the proxy voting proposal for new parents appears to have been a strategic and coordinated effort rather than a spontaneous event. She collaborated with Representative Brittany Pettersen, a Democrat from Colorado, to introduce the measure, demonstrating bipartisan planning. Luna then initiated a discharge petition, a procedural tool that requires the signatures of a majority of House members to force a vote on a bill, bypassing leadership opposition. This petition garnered 218 signatures, including those of 12 Republicans, indicating deliberate outreach and negotiation. The subsequent vote on April 1, 2025, where nine Republicans joined all Democrats to defeat the leadership's attempt to block the proposal, further suggests that Luna's actions were carefully orchestrated to build the necessary support across party lines.

CURSORY RESEARCH SHOWS LUNA NOT TO BE THAT LONGTIME OR DIEHARD OF A REPUBLICAN

Representative Anna Paulina Luna's political affiliation has evolved over time. According to a 2023 article by The Washington Post, during her service in the Air Force around 2010, Luna expressed support for then-President Barack Obama. However, by 2018, she had shifted her political stance and decided to run for Congress as a Republican. She officially entered the Republican primary for Florida's 13th congressional district in September 2019 and received endorsements from prominent Republicans, including Representative Matt Gaetz. This indicates that while Luna was not always a Republican, she has been affiliated with the party since at least 2018. The Washington Post
