Every so often, we are treated to the poems of a patriot. She could be your next door neighbor, maybe even a relative. She is a lady who has always stood shoulder to shoulder with this movement. She is a lover of liberty and of this Republic.

As a special dedication to our new website, she has been gracious enough to offer yet another moving piece that sums up the essence of our purpose. She never asks for any credit, but we at SFC would like to recognize the contributions and patriotism of  Mimi Evans Winship and the peotry that inspires her. Thank you Mimi…

AMERICANA

A soldier who wants nothing more

Than to hold back dark tides from our sacred shore,

An industrialist whose output keeps us free,

A small business person saying “Don’t Tread on Me”,

A feet squarely planted, look you in the eye,

Down to earth, plain spoken American guy,

A mom who will fight anyone, anywhere

Who teaches her kids nonsense like “someone’s fair share”,

A fly-over farmer, who for generations,

Has been the envy of most other nations.

In the mirror the images you will see

Are the determined reflections of you and me.

Mimi Evans Winship

It’s about time smoenoe wrote about this.

Remarkable article! Thank you.

Admiring the hard work you put into your blog and detailed information you provide. It’s nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same old rehashed material. Fantastic read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
